A non-comedogenic oil is an oil that doesn’t clog the pores. Non-comedogenic oils promote suppleness in dry skin and control acne prone oily skin. A non-comedogenic oil allows the skin to breathe while doing its job. This is very important because an oil that isn’t non-comedogenic can lead to clogged pores.
Clogged pores mean more breakouts and worsened skin problems. Non-comedogenic oils also have additional properties such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, and vitamins. Many skin care products include non-comedogenic oils in their product formulations. Whichever non-comedogenic oil you choose depends on what you’re trying to achieve.
#1 Argan Oil
This is one of my favorite oils to use on hair. It prevents split ends and breakage. It’s very popular in hair and skin care. Argan oil has a high vitamin E and squalene content. Squalene is an emollient and natural antioxidant. It also regulates the production of excess oil on the skin and heals chapped and cracked skin.
